Pre-School: Gender-Expansive Kids


For parents, caregivers, teachers, and anyone interacting with pre-school age children, their ability to demonstrate preferences for, or connection to things or ideas that are gender stereotyped by the adults or culture observing them is well known.

Learning Objectives and Skills Acquisition:

This workshop includes some of the material and objectives covered in our
“PK-12 Inclusion” training, with additional focus on:

  • Understanding how to differentiate adult or culture-stereotyped perceived gender preferences from individual identity and expression
  • Making space for inclusive gender-expansive/non-conforming play/learning environments
  • Nurturing gender-expansive exploration
