The Titles: VII/IX and Trans Rights


In order to protect the civil rights of oppressed minority populations, the United States Congress has passed many laws over the years. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 protect (respectively) transgender, nonbinary, Two-Spirit, and other gender-expansive people from discrimination in the workplace, and in education.
