Clear and Present: Anti-Trans Hate

Heritage Foundation-Project 2025
American College of Pediatricians
Genspect
The Cass Report
As a result of advances in public education about gender-expansive identity and expression in children and youth, and access to gender-affirming approaches such as social gender transition and medical interventions became more visible to the public and media; extremist political and ideological opposition to those advances increased beginning in 2014. There is evidence opposition was elevated as a wedge-issue pivot once marriage equality became the law of the land.
This workshop examines the recent history of anti-LGBTQ+ with a specific-focus on intolerance of gender-nonconforming and gender-expansive identity and expression in children, youth, and their supportive families.
