A Natural Variation

This training introduces a basic understanding of gender identity and expression development in all people, from childhood to adulthood. It includes discussion of the impact that affirming and non-affirming parenting, education, and culture can have cisgender+ and transgender+ people.

Learning Objectives and Skills Acquisition:
  • Acquire a basic understanding of how gender expression/identity and sexual orientation are independent aspects of human identity
  • Enhanced ability to embrace the similarities and variations in the cultural experiences of both cisgender+ and transgender+ population groups
  • Information on how to Implement individual best practice in supporting gender-expansive children, youth, and colleagues in home, workplace, and community
